Abstract
Event-driven cameras adoption in real-world applications is steadily growing, thanks to their low-power, low latency, high temporal resolution, high dynamic range and highly compressive encoding. The EVS school is the first event focused on teaching computer vision with event cameras. Its aim is to offer students an in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art methods to process event-driven camera data and teach them the required, practical, skills to develop their own applications. EVS will cover the following topics:
- Fundamentals of Event Cameras and Event-based Processing
- Model-based Computer Vision Algorithms for Event Cameras
- Learning Systems that use Events
- Biologically Inspired Vision
- Event-driven Vision for Robot Control
Students will be given sufficient time to build practical programming skills thanks to extensive hands-on afternoon sessions on software simulators and real event cameras. The program is complemented with keynote talks on event-driven latest research and industrial applications.
Target audience: Masters students, PhD candidates, early-stage postdocs.
